ABISKO
The Brief
We found ourselves completely unprepared for minus 37 degree celsius when we traveled to see the Northern Lights in Abisko, Sweden on a whim. Our cameras froze, our heaviest clothes were jeans and a jumper – very different conditions to the +35 degree weather we’d just come from in Melbourne, Australia.
In Abisko we met a dog sledder named Morgan and an ice-fisherman called Tim. For a few days we followed our new friends for the handful of daylight hours each day, and captured their stories and reasons for living in Abisko.
While you’re here, have a look at the fly fisherman we filmed a few years ago in Tasmania. A prequel if you will, to this remarkable snow adventure at the opposite end of the globe: http://bettywantsin.com/project/by-the-lake-tasmania/
